Katherin Valdez-Lazo is an associate in Vishnick McGovern Milizio LLP’s Business and Transactional Law practice.
She represents clients in a variety of business transactions, including sales, leasing, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, transfers, transactional real estate matters, contract drafting, due diligence reviews, and other matters.
Ms. Valdez-Lazo’s wide-ranging experience prior to joining VMM includes externships for a Manhattan-based law firm, where her work focused on bankruptcy, corporate, and real estate matters, and for the legal department of a multinational cosmetics company, where she was involved in real estate, corporate securities, compliance, termination, and settlements matters, with a focus on North and Latin America.
Before that, she interned at a boutique law firm based on Long Island, where she assisted attorneys with commercial real estate financial transactions, particularly those involving commercial mortgage-backed securities; at a Manhattan law firm, where she focused on civil rights, family law, social security, and appellate matters; and worked as a paralegal at a Queens law firm, where she was involved in commercial and residential real estate and estate planning matters.
