Jordan M. Freundlich, Esq. an experienced Appellate attorney, serves as
Counsel in Vishnick McGovern Milizio's Litigation Department, focusing
on estate and commercial litigation. His extensive litigation experience
also includes health care, matrimonial, mental hygiene and major federal
Of note, Mr. Freundlich has secured a number of major victories, including:
- In bench trial in Queens Surrogate’s Court, he successfully defended
a $7 million claim against an estate, based on a fraudulent agreement.
- In bench trial in Queens Supreme Court, he obtained a favorable decision
in a dispute over a $1 million property.
- Obtained several favorable decisions from the Appellate Division in shareholder
disputes and contract actions.
- Won a summary judgement motion in Nassau County Surrogate’s Court
dismissing objections to a will, noteworthy for its inclusion in the New
York Law Journal’s list of notable Trusts and Estates decisions for 2014.
Prior to joining Vishnick McGovern Milizio in 2012, Mr. Freundlich was
a partner in his own firm. He was associated previously with several prominent
New York City and Long Island-based law firms, where he gained significant
court experience. As a legal intern, Mr. Freundlich worked for the Honorable
United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of New York, and former
United States Congressman Rick Lazio.
Mr. Freundlich serves on the board of directors of Literacy Nassau and
the Riley Sandler Memorial Foundation, Inc., a charity designed to take
direct action to help children in need and support those facing major
obstacles to reach their full potential. He is a member of the Nassau
County Bar Association and the Brandeis Association, an organization of
Jewish legal professionals. Mr. Freundlich earned his Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Michigan and his Juris Doctor degree from
the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
