VMM proudly congratulates associate Helen Tuckman, a member of the Wills, Trusts, and Estates practice group, for receiving the NYSBA President’s Pro Bono Service Award.
Every year the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) honors attorneys from across the state who have made an exceptional commitment to serving the public good by volunteering their time and expertise to people in need.
Only one honoree from each judicial district is selected for this prestigious recognition. Helen has received the award for the Tenth Judicial District (Nassau and Suffolk Counties).
“I love what I do,” Ms. Tuckman said, “but pro bono work is rewarding in a different way. Being able to do what I love while helping those who are less fortunate adds a deeper sense of purpose to my work. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity volunteer, and to my firm for their continued support and encouragement.”
The award ceremony took place on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the NYSBA in Albany.
A full list of this year’s honorees can be found here.
On April 21, 2026, Ms. Tuckman was also recognized by Legal Services of Long Island and the Volunteer Lawyers Project for her Pro Bono Work, assisting fellow Long Islanders in need.
Congratulations, Helen!
