VMM is pleased to congratulate partner Thomas Weiss, head of the firm's Bankruptcy practice and key member of the Litigation Department, on his recognition by the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce (NCCC) as the 2026 Merrick Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year.
The NCCC is an umbrella organization for over 49 Chambers of Commerce in Nassau County, New York, representing over 6000 local businesses.
As a member of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce (MCC), Mr. Weiss has been an ongoing supporter, active volunteer, and leader in many community and local business campaigns.
In addition, Mr. Weiss received a Special Congressional Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, acknowledging his "purposeful work and distinguished service...committed to making meaningful and impactful contributions to the people of New York."
He additionally received citations from the New York State Assembly; Nassau County Executive; Nassau County Legislator; Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce; Town of Hempstead City Council; and a Certificate of Merit from the Nassau County Clerk.
